AI Internship Program

A 12-week paid internship program training the next generation of AI engineers. Work on real client projects, build production AI systems, and develop the skills employers are actively seeking — alongside a team of experienced AI practitioners at the forefront of the field.

12 Weeks. Real Work. Real Impact.

Our internship program is structured in three phases designed to take you from AI fundamentals through production deployment on real client engagements.

Weeks 1–4
AI Fundamentals
Build the technical foundation you need to work in production AI. You'll cover Python for ML, core machine learning theory, deep learning with PyTorch, working with foundation models and APIs, prompt engineering, and Aitium Inc's internal development standards and toolchain. Includes hands-on labs after every module.
Weeks 5–8
Client Project Work
Join an active Aitium Inc client engagement as a contributing team member. You'll work alongside senior engineers on real deliverables — building models, integrating APIs, writing production code, and participating in client meetings. You'll be mentored, not handed busy work. Interns in this phase ship real features.
Weeks 9–12
Capstone Project
Design and build an AI system of your choosing — with support from your assigned mentor and access to Aitium Inc's cloud infrastructure and tool stack. You'll present your capstone to the full Aitium Inc team and receive feedback from senior engineers and leadership. The best projects are considered for production deployment.

Skills You'll Build

The AI Internship Program is designed to produce engineers who can contribute immediately to production AI projects from day one of a full-time role.

Python for AI/ML
Production-quality Python with emphasis on the libraries and patterns used in real AI engineering — NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and async programming for AI APIs. We teach the patterns that make code maintainable, not just code that works.
ML Frameworks
Hands-on experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers. You'll train models from scratch, fine-tune pre-trained models, and understand the architecture choices that matter for production deployments. We also cover evaluation, debugging, and optimization techniques.
LLM Integration
Work with OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source LLM APIs. You'll learn prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), structured output extraction, and how to build reliable LLM-powered features that behave predictably in production environments.
Agent Development
Build autonomous AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and Aitium's own Agentium platform. You'll understand tool-calling, memory management, multi-agent orchestration, and the safety considerations that matter when deploying agents in real-world enterprise contexts.
Cloud Deployment
Deploy and operate AI systems on AWS and GCP. You'll containerize models with Docker, deploy with Kubernetes, set up CI/CD for ML pipelines, and configure monitoring and alerting — acquiring the cloud operations skills that distinguish AI engineers who can ship from those who can only prototype.
Client Communication
Technical excellence alone doesn't build a career. You'll develop skills in translating complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders, writing clear technical documentation, presenting findings in client meetings, and contributing to project proposals — the professional skills that accelerate career progression.
